09 Mar 09 Is it legal for an employer to force an employee to pay for training that is mandated by the employer?

It is not illegal. They are being cheap, and that is not a crime. Most other companies would pay their employees training but it is because they choose to do it, not because there is any law on the books that requires them to do so.
It’s legal, usally company know loopholes and try to get away with anything, crap or not, we have to live with stupid policies. Good luck.
