Well you can try, take it to the law enforcement where his office is located and see if they will take your complaint for falsification of court documents, embezzlement, what ever statute it would fall under.
All he’s going to say is the bad information came from her… the old catch 22.
Making money isn’t against the law, and certainly not for lawyers … and it depends what he lied about. You really need to provide more information to get any kind of accurate answer about what your options are. You should contact the Bar Association in your area (look online or in the yellow pages) … they have people there who can hear your story, and will advise you if you can do anything.
File a bar complaint (call them or find on the internet), with whatever state this lawyer is licensed in. They’ll make you fill out some forms and send in documented evidence. You can tell them he is committing fraud, possibly falsifying documents.
You go to the Bar Association in that state and get them to do an investigation, if he/she double crossed you or practiced bad ethics then you would want to start there. The findings of the Bar will enable you to start a legal process against the attorney. Good Luck! I **** when attorneys do that, but most Bar’s HAVE to investigate a complaint.
